An Indian Airlines aircraft with 187 passengers on board is hijacked. The plane was going from Katmandu to New Delhi. It lands near Abu Dhabi after several hops.

He was the Director of the International Rice Research Institute, Philippines. He is also the first agriculture scientist to win the Albert Einstein world science Award in 1986. |
