After 1977, he became the Deputy Prime Minister (Defence) in Janta regime. Thereafter, he established Congress (J). His uninterrupted representation in the Parliament from 1936 to 1986 is a world record.(5-4-91).

12/24/1902Shashi Mukhi of Classic Theatre, Calcutta, was the first Indian to record on gramophone. This song was on 25 cms. one sided disc and the lyrics were ""Kanha Jeevan Dhan"" from the play Shri Krishna. The song was recorded by Gramophome and Typewriter Company.
5/11/1999Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case: The Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence on four of the 26 accused, life imprisionment to three and acquitted the remaining 19 people.
