1/29/1976Parliamenentary Committee on official language constituted. The Committee has since then submitted six parts of its report and Presidential orders have been issued on first five parts of it. The sixth part is in print.
3/23/1931Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru and Sukhdev, great freedom fighters and revolutionaries, were hanged for assasination of Saunders, Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Central Jail at Lahore. Bhagat Singh and his associates showed no signs of any fear as they kissed the noose, chanting ""Inquilab Zindabad"" (long live the revolution).

2/24/1995A full Bench comprising Chief Justice M.M. Pareed Pillai, TV Ramakrishna and P. Shanmugam of the Kerala High Court quashed the words ""incestuous adultery"", ""adultery coupled with cruelty"" and ""adultery coupled with desertion"" contained in Section 10 of Indian (Christian) Divorce Act.
