Jammu, March 27 (IANS) Another fake order announcing restoration of 4G Internet in J&K was doing the rounds in the Union Territory on Friday even as authorities denied any such move.

A day after the UT administration decided to continue the low speed 2G Internet till April 3, social media was awash with a fake order purportedly signed by the Principal Secretary, Home, ordering restoration of 4G internet in J&K.

Refuting the order's authenticity, a senior officer told IANS: "There is no such order. What you are quoting to me is a fake order.

"I wonder how do mischief mongers find time to spread such mischievous news when the country is battling to meet the biggest challenge we are faced with at present."

There have been demands from almost all sections of the society asking the authorities to restore high speed Internet in the UT so that the people can keep themselves updated on the latest developments and advisories on Covid-19.
