For h4, they wont give StateID even we show SSN refusal letter. And they will give TVDL on H4 which will be useful only to drive not for any address proof or anything...and need to take an appointment to get TVDL...
ohh sorry to hear that, I guess not all but some of the DMVs accept SSN refusal letter.BTW, having driving license is more beneficial than state ID and good luck with your Drive Test if you are applying DL.
thanks for replying...i have tried to get State Id but from DMV they said that they wont issue state ID even if i submit SSN refusal letter from SSN office. Only ID a H4 visa holder could get is driving lisence.
Hey Athi, Yes H4 can get state ID, but you need to provide a SSN refusal letter from SSN office and ofcrs you also need to provide your Identity and residence proof documents.Thank You,
