TAGC celebrates International Womens Day

Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) celebrated International Women's day on March 8th 2020 at Atlantis Banquets, Arlington Heights, IL.
More than 400 women participated in this Women's day event from all over Greater Chicago area.
Event started with lightening the inauguration lamps by Mrs. Kranthi Kaja, Mrs. Uma Avadutha, Mrs. Neelima Cheikycharla, Mrs. Vinita Podduturi, Mrs. Archana Podduturi and Mrs Prasanna Kandukuri.

All the participants received a warm welcome by TAGC Board Of Directors and a special gift was
presented for each of the attended TAGC members. Banquet hall is decorated at very grand scale and lavish. Unique Photo-Booth with bike setup inside the hall attracted lot of participants and they enjoyed it by taking several group, solo pictures. Several fun filled activities were meticulously planned and executed to create festive atmosphere in the event that were thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.

The winners from the activities were awarded gifts and travel gift vouchers from Citiair. Tik tok contest was enjoyed by every participant along with Music and Dance. Winners from several games and activities are awarded with beautiful gifts.

TAGC Women's forum has collected record high donations from our generous women members
towards the "By The Hand Kids club". Attended members enjoyed very tasteful snacks and dinner
sponsored by Bawarchi Biryanis from Schaumburg, IL.

TAGC president Praveen Vemulapalli, thanked event sponsor Citi Air, Raffle Sponsor Regal Jewellers, Photography sponsor Pixel Blinks, Khaas Decors who helped with stage & hall decoration, Bawarchi Biryanis, Schaumberg, all attendees, BOD's and volunteers for planning and executing the event to grand success and special thanks to TAGC Women's Forum Chair Uma Avadutha for running the show so successfully with the help of core team Neelima Cheikycharla, Archana Podduturi and Prasanna Kandukuri.

TAGC Women's committee chair Mrs. Uma Avadutha and her team worked hard for several weeks for
this successful event planning and execution. Uma thanked TAGC president Sri Praveen Vemulapalli, president elect Sri Venkat Gunuganti, Secretary Mr. Anji Reddy Kandimalla, Co-Treasurer Sri Ramana Kalva for helping with member registration, welcoming guests and smooth check-in; Decoration committee chair Smt. Neelima Cheikycharla for grnad decoration at the stage and photo booth; Food Committee chair Mr. Santosh Konduri, BODs Mr. Sashi Chava, Mr. Naveen Aduma for helping with
food arrangements.
