Sonia Rai, a 24-yr-old South Asian American in Boston, was recently diagnosed with AML (leukemia) and needs to find a bone marrow donor & match within the next 5 weeks. The odds of finding a donor match within one's community is 1 in 20,000, and South Asians are severely underrepresented in the national bone marrow donor registry.
Please register with the national bone marrow registry by attending one of our drives this weekend. All it involves is taking a cheek swab (no blood draw!) and filling out a form. You can save the life of Sonia Rai or another South Asian in need.
